I spent last weekend in Leader, SK with a special group of women... the women's ministry leadership team from Leader Alliance Church. Our network meeting consisted of three components:
CARE - where we get to know one another, share & pray for each other.
CAUSE - a learning time where we were challenged by 2 video teaching segments:
-Bill Hybels: "A Vision to Die For" from Summit '07
-John Maxwell: "The Leader God Uses" from Catalyst '05
COMMITTMENT - where we write down one thought we plan to do or accomplish before we get together again. We also share that thought & pray for one another before leaving.
Other happenings included staying at Grandma Shirley's B & B, wonderful meals, dvd clips of our upcoming Arviat district project, Nicole Johnson's: "What Shall I Wear" & "Stepping Into The Ring". We shared personal & ministry related "wins" & "challenges", created our own shield that reflected portions of our life happenings & enjoyed each other's company.
For me, this included a first trip to Leader, SK & discovering some bumpy roads along the way... but the fellowship was sweet, the sharing times special & true "koinonia" happened. I was priviledged to join with these women, hear from their hearts & anticipate together discovery of God's purpose for their women.
