Sometimes when I think of Jesus, I forget how much fun He must have been to be with. I love this pic... it seems to capture a loving Saviour who overflows with joy & laughter. Can't you imagine that smile as He blesses & breaks a few loaves & fish to feed to the masses? Or when He tells those wedding attendents to fill jugs with water... & when that first glass was poured... smiles all around. Maybe it was the parties where He was accused of hangin out with the undesirables... there just had to be a smirk on his face; not sarcastic like mine might have been, but confident in who He was & knowing His purpose... loving people. I think He's still smiling when He sees one of His children following after His ways & doing His will... when He reads a facebook thought or email that points people toward Him... and when one of His own is attacked (maybe not physically... although that's still happening in a world far from Him) but joked at because they love Him & want most to serve Him. It's all too easy to join the crowd, but to stand for Him takes courage & will bring blessing. 2 Corinthians 12:9 speaks of our Lord's reply to Paul: "And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness." That verse means much to me. When I'm feeling confident, I don't always sense my need of my Saviour in the same way that I do when I'm feeling weak, insecure & in way over my head. Those feelings can be scary, but they also allow God to prove Himself & His faithfulness to me in new & surprising ways. May you too feel His peace, strength & courage to keep on keeping on making a difference for HIM! And may the God of the Universe smile because of you! :)

A picture I particularly like...
