What a blessing to share time away with family... Ken, Corrie, my mom, Ed & I headed off on 3 separate airlines to converge in the outskirts of Vegas. We so enjoyed shared time together... visiting the Grand Canyon... Hoover Dam, seeing the Blue Man Group, Jerry, KA by Cirque du Soleil, & the Tournament of Kings medevial dinner show complete with jousting, fireworks & yes, even I ate with my fingers... (a little bit yucky, but wonderful food, show & company). Giving one's kids consent to plan our time away added new twists to our adventure. Not only did we see the Blue Man Group... we sat in the poncho pit; wearing our ponchos proudly for those "just in case" moments. Ken did all the driving... such fun to simply sit back & enjoy! Our days... & nights were full. Sometimes mom chose to stay home & relax, but we would faithfully venture out for new adventures... like the M & M Factory, the Freemont Experience, tasting Coke products from around the world... yes, I said Coke... & just seeing all that we could see. We all seem to be of that breed; not wanting to return home & have someone say: "Did you see.... whatever...?" & us having missed it. We also enjoyed pooltimes & sunny skies. Our average temp when returning home around midnight was 91-97 degrees F. It was most wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!
A birthdays surprise... was such a surprise... where Corrie put together (in a most splendid way) a compilation of advise & blessing wishes from friends & family. Her & your thoughtfulness touched my heart. I am so blessed! My thanks to all who shared in that moment.
Thank you Ken & Corrie for planning an amazing trip, mom for joining us... the only thing that would have made it better would have been for Marcy, Kelly & the boys to have been able to join us... new jobs sometimes complicate our days & plans... our love to you all.
