Merry Christmas to you...

The Kirk’s give thanks with grateful hearts...

O come let us adore Him, CHRIST THE LORD!

“I come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.”
~the words of Jesus in John 10:10

OUR TIMES AWAY... are refreshing physically, emotionally & spiritually. They allow us time to enjoy God’s creation, to connect with & appreciate another culture... & just to be un-rushed together & in God’s presence. It helps us to set priorities & keep our focus. We realize afresh how small our world is, the impact we can make & the responsibility God has entrusted to us.

THE KIRK FAMILY IS GROWING...
-Marcy, Kelly, Tyler (14) & Nathan (11) still live in Millwoods & are busy with life, work & renovations.
-Ken & Corrie are expecting their 1st child in June. They’ve built a home just outside of Nipawin, 2nd house in their subdivision.
-We’re entering our 10th year of ministry in Luseland. We continue to be amazed as we see God work & transform lives. Luseland Bible Camp offers high energy, late nite ministry opportunities that bless our hearts & our church family.
-To have a family who love the Lord is our greatest blessing!

THANKFUL WE ARE FOR...
-God’s care & protection day to day; those times when we realize it & especially when we don’t!
-good health!
-Marilyn’s mom continues to recover & still likes living in Detroit.
-protection in Marilyn’s recent quad mishap. For details see the next post.

WE WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR PRAYER THAT...
-we clearly sense God’s leading.
-we make our maximum impact for God. Thank you Dr. Cook for coining that phrase in our hearts & minds... MIFG

REFLECTIONS ON OUR YEAR...
January-Breakforth in Edmonton was a highlight. Concerts with the Newsboys & Michael W Smith were great to be part of & worship with all ages. Connecting with friends from our 1st church much fun!
February-Fairmont for all 8 of us! Family times, games, pools, smiles, catching up & taking pictures to capture the moments.
For Marilyn-Detroit to visit her mom in February. Then traveling with youth to YC Edmonton in March, she learned of Blue Tree & Franklin Graham’s Rock the River Calgary in August, she sold Hawk Nelson merchandise... new experience for this grandma:)
November-time away for some fun in the sun & r & r.

We look forward to planning a baptismal service. It’s exciting to see those who desire to grow in their faith & be obedient to God’s teaching.

STILL COLLECTING QUOTES...
-To have more, desire less.
-“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
...Dietrich Bonhoeffer
-What will my imprint on this world be? How will I be remembered?
What shadow do I cast?
-“Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth!” Psalm 86:11 NLT

FOR OUR FAMILY... we live some hours apart, but are thankful for shared times & the opportunities technology gives us to connect. We’re learning better to text, skype & chat & are thankful for email, facebook & Sasktel bundles:) We find the mileage on our vehicles worth it just to have the smiles & hugs upon arrival. You know those feelings because they happen when we see so many of you! We remember the fun times we’ve shared, the times you’ve encouraged us through words & actions, the times we’ve grown together spiritually as we’ve discovered God’s truths in His Word & chose to obey, the times we’ve prayed, laughed & worshipped together & WE THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!
